01

Choose the landscape first

Lower river, middle river and upper river are different days. Do not force every headline place into one rushed route.

02

Confirm live operations

Opening hours, boats, park transport, conservation work and access can change. Use the official park links on the same day you travel.

03

Leave time between places

Distances, parking, walking and orientation are part of the visit. A smaller route with time to read the landscape is the stronger day.

Planning questions

Planning questions

Operational information changes by season. Confirm opening hours, access and tickets with Krka National Park before travel.

Is this the official National Park website?

No. These platforms are independent editorial guides. Use them to understand the landscape, then confirm prices, hours, access and rules with Krka National Park.

Which entrance should I choose?

Choose by the experience and route you want, not by a generic “best” entrance. Skradin is atmospheric; Lozovac is often logistically direct. Upper-river sites require separate planning.

Can I rely on boats or park transport?

Only after checking the current official timetable. Transport and boat services are seasonal and may change with conditions or operational decisions.

How much time should I allow?

The official suggested visit for Skradinski buk is around two hours excluding access. A coherent river day needs more time because approaches, transfers and upper-river distances are part of the experience.

Can I assume swimming is allowed?

No. Never infer access or swimming rules from old photographs. Read the current official park rules before travel and follow on-site instructions.
